Counting Heads - Automatically Calculate Headcount

Formulas give you the ability to calculate virtually any HR metric. One of the most common calculations is Headcount.

Here's how to calculate it:

  1. Click on Data and select Define Fields

  2. Click on Add and type Headcount under the Name field

  3. Click on Text in the Type field and use the drop down menu to select Formula

  4. Click on the drop down menu for Function and select Count

  5. Click on the drop down menu for Range and select Branch with or without manager. Select Branch and Mgr

  6. Click on OK and OK

  7. Click on Yes when prompted to add the new field to all boxes
