Question 1: Where do I create Profiles and Indexes?

Answer: In OrgPlus 4.0, directories (indexes) and profiles could only be created using the Publish to OrgPlus Plugin or HTML Wizards. The ability to create customized profile and directory views is now an integral part of OrgPlus 6.

Directories provide a tabular list that shows information for a selected box and its descendants. In addition, they are a simple means by which to edit data.

The Profile View is a great place to show additional information about a box without cluttering the org chart, for example, an employee photo or additional contact information such as cell phone or pager can be shown in a profile.

Question 2: I can't sub-chart in the Publish Wizard. Where do I sub-chart?

Answer: In OrgPlus 4.0, sub-charting could only be performed using the Publish wizard. OrgPlus 6.0 includes sub-charting as an integral part of the charting process. Previewing and checking sub-charts prior to publishing ensures that published charts are always right the first time.

Question 3: What happened to the option to "Save as Shortcut"? How do I schedule a shortcut to run?

Answer: OrgPlus 6 no longer requires a user to create shortcuts when importing or publishing. Rather than create a separate name for a shortcut, OrgPlus 6 automatically saves the information required to re-publish to the specified file. For example, a chart published to a PowerPoint file, will automatically remember it's published file name and can be re-published to the specified file.

Republish charts in OrgPlus 6 by selecting Publisher from the Tools menu.

Question 4: What happened to all the publishing steps in the wizard?

Answer: Due to limitations in the previous versions of OrgPlus, we were not able to perform many tasks that can now be performed in OrgPlus 6. For example, sub-charting in 4.0 could only be performed in the Publish Wizard.

The OrgPlus 6 Publish Wizard has removed all steps that are now completed before the chart is published. For example, creating a profile view, directory view and sub-charting can all be accomplished before the chart is published, and therefore no longer appear in the Publish Wizard.
